We continued fishing according to our plan and eventually managed to catch the necessary 78 cm pike.
That fish became extremely important for our result.
It was a good example of why tournament fishing requires not only technical skills, but also psychological stability. A lost fish can cost you valuable points, but the competition continues — and the next opportunity may come at any moment.
Day Two: A Fast Protocol and the Big Game
The second day was about speed, precision and making the most of every opportunity.
We already had experience from the first day and understood what was working and what needed to be changed.
The goal was simple: catch the fish we needed as quickly as possible and avoid wasting valuable tournament time.
Every cast mattered.
Every move of the boat mattered.
And every decision had to be made with the overall standings in mind.
This is what makes sport fishing so different from ordinary recreational fishing. You cannot simply wait for the fish to bite — you have to constantly analyze the situation and adapt.
